Temposphere, KFAI 07/18/09

france-gall

Somehow none of the artists I promised to play at the top of tonight’s edition of Temposphere wound up getting played. I humbly apologize to disappointed listeners, sometimes the show just takes a direction of its own. So instead of Gilberto Gil, Jon Hendricks and Tony Allen we heard other worthies such as Eddie Bo, France Gall (pictured), The Love Unlimited Orchestra and Manu Dibango. Far from a total loss. The show is available for your streaming convenience (for two weeks only, don’t dawdle) at the KFAI site; playlist is posted here and there, just click through.
